- 3–4 cups All-Purpose Flour (could use bread flour for chewiness)
- 1/4 cup Melted Butter (unsalted recommended)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (fresh minced garlic alternative)
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning (dried mixed herbs also work)
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Combine Dough Ingredients: In a stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil. Mix gently, then gradually add flour until a slightly sticky dough forms.
- First Rise: Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until doubled in size.
- Shape Breadsticks: Punch down the dough gently, divide into 12 pieces, roll into 9-10 inch ropes, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish: Brush warm breadsticks with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
