Description

This vibrant Blue Tea Latte is a stunning and refreshing beverage made by steeping butterfly pea flowers to create a deep blue tea, then topped with vanilla-flavored cold foam for a creamy finish.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/3 cup ice-cold whole milk (or oat/almond for dairy-free)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew the blue tea: Steep the butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5–7 minutes until you get a deep blue color. Strain out the flowers. Let the tea cool slightly.
  2. Make the vanilla cold foam: Blend the cold milk and vanilla syrup for about 10 seconds, just until smooth and foamy. If you don’t have a blender, use a frother, French press, or shake it in a sealed jar.
  3. Assemble the latte: Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the cooled blue tea. Slowly spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam on top.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Keep the layers for a stunning look, or give it a gentle stir for a creamy, dreamy latte!
