Description

A modern twist on the classic Italian dessert—these elegant tiramisu domes feature creamy mascarpone mousse, a hidden coffee-soaked sponge center, and a dusting of cocoa powder, topped with fresh mint for a luxurious finish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate cookies (for base)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dip ladyfinger pieces briefly in espresso mixed with coffee liqueur and shape into small rounds. Freeze until firm.
  2. In a bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture to create a light mousse.
  4. Line dome silicone molds with mousse, press a frozen coffee-soaked ladyfinger center into each, then top with more mousse to seal. Smooth the surface.
  5. Freeze domes for 4–6 hours or overnight.
  6. Unmold and place each dome on a chocolate cookie base. Let thaw slightly in the fridge for 1 hour.
  7. Before serving, dust tops with cocoa powder and garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

  • Use high-quality espresso for the best flavor.
  • Mousse can be made ahead and stored frozen for up to 3 days.
  • Use a piping bag for clean mousse application in molds.
  • For added flair, drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.
