Description

These sweet and sour meatballs are perfectly baked in a tangy, flavorful sauce, making a delicious and easy meal for any night of the week.

Meatballs:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (or barbecue sauce)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared spicy brown mustard
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a casserole pan or glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare Meatballs: In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Shape into small meatballs (1 – 1 ½ inches). Place in prepared baking dish.
  3. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and vinegar. Pour sauce over meatballs.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink inside.
  5. Serve: Sprinkle with parsley and serve over rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.
