Description

Flaky puff pastry wrapped around a savory spinach and feta filling, topped with golden sesame seeds for a satisfying crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg (for filling)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix spinach, feta, ricotta, garlic, 1 egg, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into two rectangles.
  4. Spoon filling along one side of each rectangle, then roll up tightly and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

  • Ensure spinach is well-drained to prevent soggy pastry.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for a subtle flavor boost.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
