Ingredients

8 slices of crustless sandwich bread

1 egg

3 tbsp milk

1 tbsp heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 knob of butter
For the Coating:

100 g sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

Flatten the slices of sandwich bread with a rolling pin.

Roll each slice tightly into a log.

In a bowl, whisk the egg with milk, cream, and vanilla.

Dip each bread roll in the egg mixture.

In a hot pan, melt the butter and fry the rolls on all sides until lightly golden.

Mix sugar and cinnamon in a plate. Roll the cooked bread rolls in the cinnamon sugar until well coated.

Serve warm, ideally with a cup of coffee.

You can fill the bread with jam, Nutella, or cream cheese before rolling for a surprise center.
