- 12 pastry sheets (spring roll or phyllo, cut into squares)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg (for sealing)
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- Oil spray or melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or set up a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix mozzarella, cheddar, chili flakes, and garlic powder.
- Place a spoonful of cheese mixture onto each pastry square. Fold into a triangle and seal the edges using beaten egg.
- In a shallow bowl, mix crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs, parmesan, and parsley.
- Lightly brush each triangle with oil or butter, then press into the crumb mixture to coat.
- Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and crisp—or fry for 2–3 minutes until perfectly crunchy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dip or marinara sauce.
Notes
- Can be assembled ahead of time and frozen before baking or frying.
- Adjust spice level by adding more or less chili flakes.
- Great as a party appetizer or snack.
