Description

Crispy fries tossed in a bold and spicy mix of garlic, chilies, onions, and bell peppers, infused with Indian spices. A fiery and flavorful snack or side dish that’s perfect for spice lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups thick-cut frozen fries
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 green chili, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika or Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped spring onions or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook fries according to package instructions or deep fry until golden and crispy. Drain excess oil and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté until lightly golden.
  3. Add onions, green and red chilies, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.
  4. Add turmeric, paprika, garam masala, and a pinch of salt. Toss in the cooked fries and stir well to coat evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with fresh spring onions or cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use Kashmiri chili powder for vibrant color with mild heat, or paprika for a smoky touch.
  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the potatoes or bake them longer for a golden finish.
  • Can be made with fresh homemade fries instead of frozen.
  • Serve with ketchup, garlic mayo, or mint chutney for dipping.
