- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 cooked sausages (smoked or spicy)
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan (for topping)
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly dust your surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle. Cut into 4 equal sections.
- Spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each pastry piece (optional).
- Place shredded cheddar in the center of each piece, followed by a sausage.
- Fold the pastry over the sausage, seal the edges, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush each roll with beaten egg and top with grated parmesan, fresh thyme, and cracked black pepper.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and deeply golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
