Description

Flaky puff pastry rolls stuffed with juicy sausages and sharp cheddar, baked to golden perfection—ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a savory snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 cooked sausages (smoked or spicy)
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan (for topping)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly dust your surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle. Cut into 4 equal sections.
  3. Spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each pastry piece (optional).
  4. Place shredded cheddar in the center of each piece, followed by a sausage.
  5. Fold the pastry over the sausage, seal the edges, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush each roll with beaten egg and top with grated parmesan, fresh thyme, and cracked black pepper.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and deeply golden.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
