Description

A crisp flatbread layered with smooth cream cheese, delicately smoked salmon, briny capers, and thinly sliced red onions—perfect for brunch or a gourmet appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of naan or flatbread
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 6 oz smoked salmon slices
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place flatbreads on a baking sheet and warm for 5–7 minutes, just until lightly crisp on the edges. Remove and let cool slightly.
  2. Spread a generous layer of cream cheese over each warm flatbread.
  3. Arrange smoked salmon slices evenly over the cream cheese.
  4. Scatter thinly sliced red onion and capers on top.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and lemon zest, if using.
  6. Add a touch of freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
  7. Slice into wedges or strips and serve immediately.
