Description

Elegant crostini layered with whipped goat cheese, thinly sliced pears, candied walnuts, and fresh rosemary, perfect for entertaining or a seasonal appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 6 oz goat cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped candied walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Let cool.
  2. In a bowl, whip goat cheese and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Spread a generous layer of whipped goat cheese mixture on each toasted crostini.
  4. Layer 2–3 slices of pear over the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle with candied walnuts and drizzle lightly with honey.
  6. Finish each crostini with a tiny pinch of black pepper and a sprig of rosemary.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm but ripe pears for best texture and flavor.
  • Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for a short period.
  • Try with different nuts like pecans or pistachios for variety.
