Description

Decadent peanut butter brownies with a rich, fudgy texture and chunks of chocolate that melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in flour, baking powder, applesauce, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use dark chocolate chips instead of regular ones.
  • If you prefer a denser brownie, reduce the baking time slightly.
  • Make sure to let the brownies cool before cutting to ensure they set properly.
