Chicken Mixture
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Wraps
- 4 medium flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook and Prepare Chicken: If your chicken is not already cooked, season the chicken breast lightly with salt and black pepper. Cook it by baking, sautéing, or grilling until fully done. Once cooled slightly, dice into small bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute, just until golden and fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Combine Chicken and Garlic: Add the diced chicken to the pan with garlic oil and toss well to coat and infuse the chicken with the garlic flavor evenly.
- Add Cheeses: Remove the pan from heat and immediately stir in both shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses while the mixture is still hot. This will allow the cheeses to begin melting into the chicken.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous portion of the cheesy garlic chicken mixture into the center. Fold the sides over and roll the tortilla tightly like a burrito to encase the filling securely.
- Cook the Wraps: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and press gently. Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping carefully to avoid spilling the filling.
- Rest and Serve: Once all wraps are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped parsley for color and freshness. Serve warm and enjoy!
