Description

Soft mini buns layered with seasoned ground beef, marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and fresh tomato slices, baked into savory pizza sliders perfect for snacks or parties.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 mini slider buns or thick-cut bread rounds
  • 1/2 lb (225g) ground beef
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 ripe tomatoes, sliced into rounds
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Place mini buns or bread rounds on the prepared sheet. Spoon beef mixture onto each base.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and a slice of tomato. Sprinkle with additional oregano or red pepper flakes if desired.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use pre-toasted buns for extra crunch.
  • Sliders can be assembled ahead and baked when ready to serve.
  • Try ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a variation.
