Description

Flaky, buttery mini croissants filled with thin slices of savory ham and creamy cheese, optionally enhanced with mustard and gently warmed for a delicious snack or party treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini croissants (store-bought or homemade)
  • 12 slices deli-style ham (thinly sliced)
  • 12 slices mild cheese (Swiss, provolone, or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
  • Optional: honey mustard or Dijon for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) if you prefer warmed sandwiches.
  2. Carefully slice each mini croissant horizontally, keeping one edge intact like a hinge.
  3. Place a slice of ham and cheese into each croissant. Fold or trim as needed to fit.
  4. If desired, lightly spread mustard on the inside before filling.
  5. Arrange croissants in a baking dish or tray. Brush tops with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 5–7 minutes just until the cheese begins to melt and the croissants are warm.
  7. Serve immediately, or enjoy at room temperature for parties and brunch.

Notes

  • Use flavored mustard or aioli to add extra zing.
  • Mini croissants can be made ahead and baked before serving.
  • Substitute ham with turkey or vegetarian slices if preferred.
