Description

A creamy yogurt dip topped with a savory, herby olive oil, garlic, and walnut mixture, creating a perfect balance of flavors for any occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Spread the Greek yogurt evenly on a serving platter or shallow bowl.
  2. In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped walnuts, parsley, mint, and cilantro to the pan. Stir for another 2-3 minutes until the herbs are softened and fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle in the paprika, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour the garlic-herb-walnut mixture over the yogurt, spreading it evenly across the top.
  6. Drizzle extra olive oil over the mixture, and serve immediately with pita, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, you can toast the walnuts in the pan before adding the herbs.
  • If you prefer a dairy-free version, you can substitute the Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt alternative.
  • This dip can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving to let the flavors meld together.
