Description

Juicy beef patties layered with melted cheddar and topped with sweet, caramelized grilled pineapple, all nestled in a soft toasted bun for a tropical twist on a classic burger.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Butter for toasting buns (optional)

Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness, placing a slice of cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  3. Brush pineapple rings with olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized and lightly charred.
  4. Toast burger buns on the grill or skillet if desired.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the bottom buns, topping with a grilled pineapple ring, and drizzling with teriyaki sauce. Cover with the top bun.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add lettuce, tomato, or red onion for extra crunch.
  • Use gluten-free buns for a gluten-free version.
