Description

Smoky grilled hot dogs wrapped in golden, crispy flour tortillas with melted cheese inside, these cheesy tortilla dogs are a quick and satisfying twist on the classic. Perfect for game day, BBQs, or a fun family dinner!


Ingredients

  • 6 beef or turkey hot dogs
  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or softened butter (for grilling)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil, for grill pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or oil.
  2. Spread a small amount of mayo or butter over one side of each tortilla and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder if using.
  3. Place a line of shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla, then top with a hot dog.
  4. Roll the tortilla around the hot dog tightly, cheese side inside. Place seam side down.
  5. Grill each tortilla dog for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the cheese is melted and the outside is golden and crisp with grill marks.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces—ketchup, mustard, or chipotle mayo.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to secure the wrap if needed before grilling, but remember to remove them before serving.
  • Swap in different cheeses like pepper jack or mozzarella for variety.
