- For the Rolls:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- For the Garlic Herb Butter:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pinch of sea salt
- For the Whipped Hummus:
- 1 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Divide dough into 24 small balls. Arrange them in a ring on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space in the center for a small oven-safe bowl.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix all garlic herb butter ingredients. Brush generously over the rolls.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, whip hummus with olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth. Garnish with fresh thyme.
- Place whipped hummus into the center bowl and serve warm.

- You can make the dough ahead and refrigerate overnight before shaping and baking.
- Try adding crumbled feta to the hummus for a tangy twist.
