Description

Juicy pan-seared chicken breast infused with garlic, herbs, and golden butter, finished with a rich pan sauce that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or elegant plating.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and rest on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  6. Slice and serve with pan sauce drizzled over, garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  • Let the chicken rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • Double the sauce ingredients if serving over rice or pasta.
