Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, and simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Slice and serve with pan sauce drizzled over, garnished with parsley.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F internally.
- Let the chicken rest before slicing to retain juices.
- Double the sauce ingredients if serving over rice or pasta.
