Description
Crisp green apple slices dipped in dark chocolate and topped with a variety of crunchy textures like coconut, sunflower seeds, and graham crackers. A quick, no-bake treat perfect for snacks, desserts, or party platters.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large green apples (Granny Smith), sliced
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons crushed graham crackers
- Optional: chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips, chia seeds
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Slice into thick wedges and remove seeds.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate with coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Dip each apple slice halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place on parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with desired toppings.
- Repeat with all slices, then refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate is set.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith for the best contrast with sweet chocolate.
- Make sure apples are completely dry before dipping to help chocolate adhere.
- Mix and match toppings for variety and texture.
- Best enjoyed the same day to avoid apple browning.
