Description

A luscious, creamy blend of ripe dark cherries, bananas, and cocoa swirled into a rich smoothie, served in glass jars and topped with juicy fresh cherries for a naturally sweet and indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups frozen dark cherries (plus extra for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (optional for richness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 12 teaspoons maple syrup (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen bananas, frozen cherries, cocoa powder, almond milk, almond butter (if using), vanilla extract, and sea salt.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add more milk a tablespoon at a time if needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness with maple syrup, if desired.
  4. Pour into serving jars or glasses, smoothing the tops.
  5. Garnish generously with halved fresh cherries or more frozen cherries.
  6. Serve immediately with a spoon or thick straw.
