Description

Golden and crunchy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside, these broccoli cheese bites are a fun and flavorful appetizer or snack. Served with a creamy dipping sauce, they’re irresistible crowd-pleasers for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped broccoli (steamed and drained)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plus more for coating)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Olive oil spray or cooking oil (for baking or frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a pan if frying.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together chopped broccoli, cheddar, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them in additional breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  4. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spray lightly with olive oil, or fry in batches until golden brown.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes or fry until crisp and cooked through, turning occasionally for even browning.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce—honey mustard, ranch, or cheese sauce work great.
