Description

A hearty one-pan dish featuring tender cheese tortellini and seared beef in a rich, creamy herb-infused sauce, topped with Parmesan and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or stew meat, cut into small cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides (about 5–6 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in Italian seasoning, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the seared beef and cooked tortellini to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality beef for the best texture and flavor.
  • Substitute chicken tortellini or mushroom tortellini for a twist.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
