Description

Cranberry Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels are a festive and irresistible appetizer featuring flaky golden pastry swirled with creamy goat cheese, sweet dried cranberries, fresh greens, and a touch of honey. These easy, elegant bites are perfect for holiday parties, brunches, and festive gatherings!

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 5 oz goat cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

  • 1 cup baby spinach or arugula

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle.

  • Spread the softened goat cheese evenly over the pastry.

  • Sprinkle the dried cranberries and scatter the baby greens on top.

  • Drizzle lightly with honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves.

  • Starting from one long side, tightly roll the puff pastry into a log.

  • Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick rounds and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Beat the egg and brush the tops of the pinwheels lightly with the egg wash.

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute goat cheese with cream cheese for a milder flavor.

  • For extra festive flair, add a few chopped pistachios to the filling.

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

  • These can be assembled a few hours ahead and baked just before serving.
