- 1 medium celery stalk (diced)
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin

- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)

Instructions
- Heat olive oil: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until slightly translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

- Add lentils: Add the washed red lentils to the pot, mixing them well with the sautéed vegetables.
- Add spices and water: Pour in four cups of water and add turmeric, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Simmer soup: Cover the pot and bring it to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 30-45 minutes or until the lentils are tender.
