Instructions
- Preheat waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs with milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with butter or oil.
- Pour the batter into the waffle iron (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on your iron), close lid, and cook until golden and crisp.
- Remove waffles and serve hot with syrup, whipped cream, or extra chocolate chips if desired.

- Don’t overmix the batter—lumps are okay and ensure fluffier waffles.
