Description

Crispy, golden egg rolls filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet cherry pie filling, finished with a dusting of powdered sugar for the perfect dessert bite.

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat with a corner facing you. Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture in the center and top with 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling.
  3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Brush the top corner with beaten egg to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  4. Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
