Description

Golden-baked dough knots filled with melty cheese and brushed with a rich garlic butter sauce, then sprinkled with Parmesan and fresh herbs. Irresistibly fluffy and flavorful, perfect as a side or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough or homemade dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into strips.
  3. Place a bit of mozzarella in the center of each strip, roll and twist into knots, tucking ends underneath.
  4. Place knots on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic, herbs, salt, and a tablespoon of Parmesan.
  6. Brush each knot generously with the garlic butter.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Remove from oven, brush again with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley.
  9. Serve warm with marinara or dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • Use homemade dough for extra flavor and texture.
  • Best served fresh, but can be reheated in the oven.
  • Try adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
