Description

Crispy on the outside, melty and savory on the inside—these golden beef and mozzarella egg rolls are packed with seasoned ground beef and gooey cheese, perfect for snacking, dipping, or game-day indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add ground beef, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, and chili flakes. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  3. Mix the beef with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef-cheese mixture near one edge. Roll tightly, folding in the sides as you go, and seal the end with beaten egg.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked beef to save prep time.
  • Try adding a little shredded cheddar for extra cheese flavor.
  • Freeze before frying for a quick make-ahead snack.
