Description

Pillowy golden buns filled with seasoned ground beef and gooey cheddar cheese, topped with sesame seeds for a delicious cheeseburger-inspired snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (12 pieces) of dinner roll dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until browned and cooked through. Let cool slightly.
  3. Flatten each piece of dough into a 3-inch round. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and some shredded cheddar in the center.
  4. Gather the edges of the dough and pinch tightly to seal. Place seam side down on the baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the tops of the buns with the egg wash.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds over each bun and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm with dipping sauces of choice.

Notes

  • Let the beef filling cool slightly before stuffing to avoid soggy dough.
  • Try adding diced pickles or ketchup inside for more burger flavor.
  • Serve with classic condiments like mustard or BBQ sauce for dipping.
