Main Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 tbsp Biscoff spread (plus more for topping if desired)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4 cup soy milk or another milk of choice
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Tiny pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, air-tight container, or mason jar, add the rolled oats, chia seeds, Biscoff spread, soy milk, vanilla extract (if using), and a tiny pinch of salt (if desired). This setup allows for easy transport and storage if you’re preparing the oats for an on-the-go meal.
- Stir Thoroughly: Use a spoon or spatula to stir all ingredients together until evenly combined. If your Biscoff spread is too thick, melt it in the microwave for about 30 seconds beforehand for easier mixing.
- Soak Overnight: Cover the bowl or container with a lid or clean kitchen towel. Place it in the refrigerator and let the mixture soak for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. This soaking process allows the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken to a pudding-like texture.
- Adjust Consistency and Serve: Once thickened, check the texture of your oats. If it’s too thick, stir in a tablespoon of milk to loosen it to your preferred consistency. Serve your Biscoff overnight oats topped with extra melted Biscoff spread or any additional toppings of your choice for enhanced flavor and sweetness.
Notes
- For a smoother mix, melt the Biscoff spread before adding.
- Can be made in mason jars for an easy grab-and-go breakfast.
- Feel free to substitute soy milk with almond, oat, dairy, or any milk you prefer.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more Biscoff spread or your favorite toppings.
- Overnight oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
